Hello! I’m Elroy King, an operator from the beautiful village of Baramita in the Barima-Waini region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the hinterlands and the vibrant culture of my people has deeply influenced who I am today. Baramita, with its lush greenery and breathtaking waterfalls, is a place where nature thrives and cultures blend seamlessly. As a proud Guyanese, I am often amused by how people mispronounce our unique place names—"Essequibo" always gets a laugh! But it’s all in good fun, and I cherish the connections I’ve made, both here and with the diaspora. It’s heartening to know that wherever we are in the world, our spirit and resilience shine through, reminding us of home.

Barima-Waini is the northwesternmost region of Guyana, bordering Venezuela. Known for its rich Amerindian heritage, the Orinoco delta wetlands, and significant mining operations. Population center is Mabaruma.
