Greetings! My name is Kishore Saywack, and I hail from the vibrant community of Hampton Court Anna on the Essequibo Coast in Guyana. As a dedicated labourer, I take pride in my work and the role I play in supporting my family and community. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the diverse flavors of our local cuisine—like pepperpot and roti—to the warm hospitality that is the hallmark of Guyanese life.
Guyana is a land of diversity, where you can find a mix of cultures that coexist harmoniously. Whether it’s celebrating Diwali, Eid, or Christmas, our community exemplifies tolerance and unity. I often reflect on how fortunate we are to have our various faiths represented, with churches, mosques, and temples standing side by side. This melting pot of traditions enriches our lives, and I’m grateful to share these experiences with my friends and family, both here and in the diaspora.
Though I currently reside in Regina Essequibo, my heart remains connected to my homeland. I cherish the stories of resilience and growth that echo throughout our nation, especially as we witness our economy flourish.
