Hello! My name is Kisssoon Ragoobar, and I proudly call the vibrant community of Coast 31, just east of the Public Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam, my home. As a laborer, I work hard to support my family and contribute to our local economy. I’m passionate about preserving our rich cultural heritage, which is reflected in the way we celebrate our diverse traditions, from the lively festivals to the delicious flavors of our local cuisine. Nothing beats a hearty plate of pepperpot or a sweet treat of guava cheese after a long day’s work!
Living in Guyana offers me the unique opportunity to embrace our lush landscapes, especially the stunning rivers that flow through our region. The River Shepeira, in particular, holds a special place in my heart, serving as a reminder of our community's connection to nature and the importance of caring for our environment. While I sometimes feel frustrated with the litter and lack of awareness surrounding it, I remain hopeful that together, we can foster a cleaner and more respectful culture for future generations.
Being part of the Guyanese diaspora is incredibly important to me.
