Hello! I’m Kitanna Daniels, a proud resident of the vibrant Waikinipa Mainland in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and the rich cultural heritage of our country, I developed a deep appreciation for our diverse customs, from the pulsating rhythms of our folkloric music to the mouthwatering flavors of our famous pepperpot and roti. Living here has instilled in me a strong sense of community, where family gatherings often revolve around delicious meals and storytelling under the stars.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with friends and family abroad. It's not uncommon to hear good-natured banter about our accents—like the way some folks say "rapapuni" or have trouble with the “y” in Guyana. These little quirks remind us that no matter where we are in the world, our roots are always close to our hearts.
