Greetings! My name is Kitesha Daniels, and I proudly call the beautiful Riv. Kaibourie Canal Dredge in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant rivers of Guyana, I've developed a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage. From the rhythmic beats of our folk music to the tantalizing taste of local dishes like pepperpot and peanut punch, every moment spent here is a reminder of the warmth and resilience of our people.
As a resident of this diverse land, I understand the importance of our connection to each other, whether we are here or part of the vast diaspora across the globe. Many of us share stories about our roots—like my friend whose grandma was 3/4 Indian and 1/4 Scottish, highlighting the unique melting pot that is Guyana. I enjoy engaging with those who appreciate our culture, and I often find joy in the little things, whether it’s sharing a meal with family or discussing the local landmarks like the breathtaking River Takatu.
