Greetings! My name is Kumarie Deonarine, and I proudly call Essequibo, specifically Block 8 in Pomeroon-Supenaam, my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush beauty of the Essequibo River and the vibrant culture of our community has shaped who I am today. The contrast between the grand houses of the few and the infrastructure struggles of the majority is a topic close to my heart.
