Greetings! I’m Lakeram Doobay, a proud resident of Airy Hall on the Essequibo Coast. Growing up in this vibrant community, I’ve always been surrounded by the rich blend of cultures that make Guyana truly special. From the sweet aroma of cook-up rice wafting through the air to the sounds of parang music during the festive season, my heart beats in rhythm with the essence of my homeland. The lush landscapes and flowing rivers, particularly the Essequibo, hold a special place in my memories, reminding me of the beauty and resilience of our natural heritage.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with each other, whether we're sharing stories across oceans or celebrating our diverse traditions in distant lands.
