Hello! I’m Lakshman Jaigopaul, a proud labourer from the vibrant community of Coast 01 Old Road Cullen in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up here has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage, from the rhythmic beats of the tassa drums to the tantalizing aroma of cook-up rice and fried plantains wafting through the air during our lively celebrations. There's nothing quite like gathering with family and friends to share a meal, especially during festivals like Phagwah, where the colors of the powdered paint blend as beautifully as the diverse backgrounds of our people.
Living in Guyana, you can’t help but feel the connection to our lush landscapes and historical landmarks.
