Greetings! My name is Lakshmi Sukdeo, and I proudly call the lush region of Essequibo my home, specifically from the vibrant community of 1866 Block 8 in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the rich culture and diverse heritage of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our unique traditions, from the tantalizing flavors of pepperpot and roti to the lively festivities that celebrate our East Indian roots. The beauty of our rivers, particularly the Pomeroon River, holds a special place in my heart, reminding me of the natural abundance that defines our land.
