Greetings from the beautiful Essequibo Coast! I’m Lalita Totaram, a proud resident of Third Street Zorg in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich culture of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our vibrant traditions. Whether it's sharing a plate of pepperpot and metemgee with family or taking a stroll along the Essequibo River, I cherish the moments that connect us to our homeland.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the pride we carry for our country. Many may not see the beauty and resilience in our lifestyle, but as we face challenges—like our ongoing disputes with Venezuela—we stand united in our hopes for a prosperous future.
