Hello! I'm Lallbachan Kusscalla, a proud fisherman from the vibrant coast of Sparta in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up along the banks of our beautiful rivers, I've spent countless hours casting my nets, not just for the fish but also to connect with the rich traditions of my heritage. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of a good catch while soaking in the serene sounds of nature, although I always remember to take cover during those surprise thunderstorms—metal boats and lightning don’t mix!
As a cultural ambassador of sorts, I love sharing the flavors of Guyana with my friends and family abroad. From perfectly cooked roti to the zesty kick of pepperpot, I take pride in bringing a taste of home wherever I go. Whether it’s a gathering in Queens or a casual cookout here in Pomeroon, food is our way of bonding, and I always say, “Singh’s Best Roti” might have some competition from the kitchens back home!
