Greetings! I am Lalljeet Ruplall, a dedicated teacher residing in the vibrant community of Zorg on the Essequibo Coast. In my downtime, you can find me exploring the culinary delights that our land offers. From salt fish paired with bake to the famed Chinese food that many say is the best in the Caribbean, I love sharing these experiences with my family and friends. Not to mention the joy of preparing traditional dishes that spark fond memories of home for members of our diaspora. I often hear from others who reminisce about the flavors of our food, whether they left for opportunities abroad or are simply visiting from neighboring countries. It’s these connections that remind us of our roots and the importance of community.
