Hello! Iām Landhan Blucher, a proud Guyanese from the Essequibo Coast, specifically from Back Street Phillips in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. My roots run deep in this vibrant community, where the lush landscapes and the winding Pomeroon River have shaped my life and work. As a labourer, I contribute to our local economy, and I take pride in the hard work that helps support my family and our neighbors.
Growing up here, I developed a deep appreciation for the rich culture that defines our nation. Whether it's enjoying a plate of duck curry with roti at a family gathering or celebrating our festivals with food, music, and dance, every moment is filled with the warmth of our heritage. I often reminisce about the bustling streets of Liberty Avenue during Diwali celebrations, where the aromas of our traditional dishes fill the air and everyone comes together to celebrate as one. Those connections to our culture are what keep the spirit of Guyana alive, even if Iām far from home.
As an immigrant, I carry the pride of my homeland with me, constantly reflecting on the beauty of our landscapes, from the Upper Pom River to the enchanting Kabakaburi. I believe in fostering connections within the Guyanese diaspora, sharing stories that remind us of where we come from. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
