Hello and welcome! My name is Latoya Boodram, and I proudly call the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. I reside in Regina Essequibo Coast, a place steeped in vibrant culture and resilience. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of our country, I developed a deep appreciation for our rich heritage, from the savory taste of pepperpot on special occasions to the sweet aroma of fresh coconut and cassava in our daily meals. Guyana, with its diverse communities, has taught me the value of unity and the importance of celebrating our differences.
As a proud Guyanese, I embrace the warmth of our people and the richness of our traditions. I often reminisce about the lively gatherings with family and friends, where laughter and storytelling flow as freely as our beloved rum. Whether it's a visit to the magnificent Kaieteur Falls or enjoying the local festivals, I find joy in sharing these experiences with others, especially those in the diaspora who long to connect with their roots. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
