Hello! I’m Latoyann Joseph, a proud resident of West Bank Demerara, where the vibrant culture and rich history of Guyana come alive every day. Nestled along the banks of the Essequibo River, my community is a melting pot of traditions, from the aroma of pepperpot simmering on the stove to the joyous sounds of a steel pan band during Carnival. Guyana is often referred to as the land of many waters, and I cherish every moment spent by the riverbanks, feeling the warmth of the sun and the spirit of togetherness amongst my neighbors.

As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I take great pride in sharing our unique heritage, whether it's through the savory taste of cook-up rice or the thrill of visiting iconic landmarks like the Kaieteur Falls. My journey has been shaped by the stories of my ancestors, who navigated challenges with resilience and strength, much like the flow of our beloved rivers. I believe that our connection to the land and each other is what makes us truly special.
