Welcome! I'm Leah Garraway, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically Better Hope in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage. From savoring the flavorful dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice to enjoying the lively sounds of chutney and soca music, my life here is intertwined with the traditions that make our country unique.
Living in Guyana, I find joy in the natural beauty of our environment, whether it's a day spent at the stunning Shell Beach or exploring the wonders of the Kaieteur Falls. I believe that our diverse community is our greatest strength, and it is heartening to see how, even as part of the diaspora, we maintain our connections to our roots. The stories exchanged among friends and family, both near and far, remind us of our shared experiences and the warmth of our culture.
