Hello! I'm Leo Rodrigues, a dedicated joiner hailing from the beautiful Upper Pom River, right bank of Arapiako in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant land, surrounded by lush rainforests and flowing rivers that tell stories of our rich heritage. Growing up here, I’ve learned the importance of community, hospitality, and the simple joys of life—whether it's sharing a hearty meal of pepperpot or enjoying a Sunday cook-up with family and friends.
The essence of Guyanese culture is woven into my daily life. From the rhythmic sounds of our folk music to the warm smiles of my neighbors, I carry these experiences with me wherever I go. Although I currently reside in a different part of the world, I treasure my connections to home and often reminisce about the beauty of the Essequibo River and the vibrant markets filled with fresh fruits and spices. Like many in our diaspora, I hold a special place in my heart for the customs and traditions that make us uniquely Guyanese.
As I pursue my craft in joinery, I strive to bring a touch of my homeland's spirit into every project. I believe that every piece of wood has a story, just like the stories of our people—from the indigenous Arawak to the diverse cultures that have enriched our society.
