Hello! I’m Leon Braithwaite, a pastor based in the vibrant community of West Coast Demerara, specifically in 335 Block X New Housing. My passion lies in serving others, nurturing faith, and connecting with individuals from all walks of life. Growing up in Guyana, surrounded by the rich cultural diversity and breathtaking landscapes, has profoundly shaped my mission and values. From the lush greenery of the Essequibo Islands to the warm camaraderie of the local markets, every aspect of our beautiful country inspires me daily.
As a proud Guyanese, I cherish the flavors and traditions that make our culture unique. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or savoring the sweet delight of a fresh coconut water by the seawall, these experiences connect me to my roots and the diaspora community. I often reflect on the sentiments shared by many in our diaspora, echoing love for our homeland—like how we celebrate together through food and stories, regardless of where we are in the world.
