Greetings! My name is Leotia Williams, and I proudly call River Jacklow, located in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, my home. As a dedicated farmer, I cultivate a variety of crops that reflect the rich agricultural heritage of our land. From the vibrant colors of cassava and plantains to the sweet notes of sugarcane, I strive to bring the taste of Guyana to the table, ensuring that the essence of our traditional dishes, like cook-up rice and pepperpot, is preserved and celebrated.
Living in this beautiful region, I have the privilege of being surrounded by the lush landscapes and flowing rivers that define our culture. Whether it's sharing stories over a plate of fried fish or participating in local festivities, I cherish the connections we create as a community. My family, like many others, carries the legacy of our ancestors, who hailed from diverse backgrounds, including Indigenous peoples and Indian descendants.
