Hello! I’m Leroy Richard, a proud resident of Mission in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Here, amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant rivers, life flows just like the mighty Pomeroon River, rich with culture and community spirit. Growing up surrounded by the enchanting Ykinipa and Waipaqua rivers has deeply shaped my appreciation for the natural beauty that our country offers.
As a true Guyanese, I cherish the unique flavors of our cuisine, especially our local Chinese dishes that bring back fond memories—nothing beats a plate of fried rice paired with crispy fried chicken! While some may indulge in exotic spreads, I’ll gladly pass on the marmite and stick to the simple comforts of our local fare. Whether it's enjoying a meal at a bustling Kumaka Landing or reminiscing about a favorite spot along the Lower Pom River, my heart is always in Guyana.
To me, being part of the Guyanese diaspora means sharing our culture and stories with pride, while hoping to reconnect with family back home. I dream of guiding them through our vibrant communities and showing them the warmth of our people. No matter where life may take me, I remain deeply rooted in my heritage, celebrating the joy of being Guyanese every day.
