Greetings! My name is Leslie Mc Nabb, and I proudly call Pom River Hackney Canal Lower in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and the rich cultural heritage of my country, I have developed a deep appreciation for our natural beauty and the warmth of our people. Guyana, with its lush rainforests, flowing rivers, and the diverse flavors of local cuisine—from spicy pepperpot to sweet cassava pone—holds a special place in my heart.
As an engaged resident, I am passionate about advocating for a clean and beautiful environment in our communities. Like many Guyanese, I often reflect on the importance of taking pride in our surroundings and the need for collective action to tackle issues like pollution. I believe that by fostering a sense of responsibility among our residents, we can revitalize our landscapes and make Guyana an even more inviting destination for visitors and fellow Guyanese in the diaspora.
