Hello! I’m Levi Russell, a proud vendor based on the Essequibo Coast at Old Market Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant region, I’ve always been surrounded by the rich culture and traditions that define our beautiful Guyana. From the soothing sounds of the Pomeroon River to the mouth-watering aromas of our beloved local dishes, my heart beats for the flavors and stories of our homeland.
Every day, I strive to bring the warmth of our culture to my customers, whether it’s through the fresh fruits and vegetables I sell or the tales I share about the distinct accents and communities across Guyana. My roots run deep, from River Yarashirima to Lower Pom River, and I carry the spirit of our diverse heritage wherever I go. I believe that each meal shared and each conversation had strengthens the bonds of our Guyanese identity, especially among those of us in the diaspora.
When I'm not at the market, you can find me reminiscing about the good old days of Chinese food that used to be the talk of the town or discussing current events that connect us with our brothers and sisters abroad.
