Hello! I am Li Surendra Dhanpaul, a proud labourer from the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically the 54 Estate Johanna area of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant rivers, I have developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and cultural richness of my homeland. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of pepperpot on a Sunday morning or taking a leisurely walk along the Pomeroon River, the essence of Guyana is woven into my everyday life.
As someone who has seen both the bustling markets and the tranquil villages, I often feel that many don’t realize there’s so much more to explore beyond popular spots like Bourda Market. From the scenic views of the Essequibo River to the welcoming smiles of my neighbors, my community is a reflection of the warmth and resilience of the Guyanese spirit.
