Greetings from the beautiful Essequibo Coast! My name is Lilawatie Ramchand, a proud housewife residing on the vibrant 85 Public Road in Jib, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Born and raised in Guyana, my heart beats for the rich culture and traditions of our homeland. The aroma of freshly made Pone, a delightful treat made from cassava and sweet potato, fills my kitchen as I try to keep the flavors of our heritage alive. Having spent much of my life in Guyana, I cherish the connections we share with the diaspora. We have walked a long journey together since the days of colonization, and today, with the rise of our nation as a petrostate, I am hopeful for the brighter future ahead for all Guyanese, both at home and abroad.
