Welcome to my corner of East Bank Essequibo! My name is Liloutiee Meghan-Lee, and I proudly hail from the vibrant community of Tiger Bay Tuschen in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Guyana, my beloved birth country, is a place where the richness of our diverse cultures comes alive through our food, music, and the warmth of our people. There’s nothing quite like sharing a plate of pepperpot or flying kites at the National Park during Mashramani, reminding us of our ancestral traditions and the joy that comes with them.
Living in Guyana, I am constantly inspired by the resilience and creativity of our people. From the bustling markets where you can find everything from fresh fruits like golden apples to handmade crafts, to the serene beauty of our rivers, every day presents an opportunity to connect with the land and its rich history. As part of the diaspora, I understand the longing many feel for home, and I cherish the moments when I can share the spirit of Guyana with friends and family abroad, reminding them of the vibrant culture we carry wherever we go.
