The fresh produce we gather from local markets and the camaraderie shared over a plate of cook-up rice or a steaming bowl of metemgee connect us all, whether we’re in Guyana or part of the diaspora. I take pride in my roots and love engaging with others who share a love for our homeland, whether it’s through food, music, or the stories that shape our identity.
