Hello! My name is Linden Griffith, and I proudly call Mission in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. As a chainsaw operator, I work within the lush forests that surround us, contributing to the vibrant timber industry that is a crucial part of our local economy. I have deep roots in this land, where the Essequibo River runs like a lifeline through our communities, and every day I am reminded of the beauty and challenges that come with living in such a unique place.
Growing up in Guyana, I have been immersed in the rich blend of cultures that make up our nation. From the spicy aroma of pepperpot during Christmas to the rhythmic sounds of chutney music at Diwali, each experience has shaped my identity. I often find myself reminiscing about family gatherings filled with laughter, storytelling, and the delicious taste of cook-up rice.
