Hello! I’m Lisa Thomas, and I proudly call the Coast 31 Lima Housing Scheme in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up in Guyana, a nation rich in history and vibrant culture, I have deep roots in our community and cherish our unique traditions. From savoring the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot during the holidays to watching the sun set over the Essequibo River, my experiences here have shaped who I am. I believe that every Guyanese, whether at home or in the diaspora, carries a piece of our heritage in their hearts.
Born in British Guiana, I have seen our beautiful nation evolve since gaining independence in 1966. While many may not know the intricate stories of our past, I feel it’s vital to share our history and celebrate our achievements. Whether it’s through engaging with fellow Guyanese or showcasing our landmarks like the St. George's Cathedral, I aim to foster a sense of pride and connection among us—no matter where we are in the world.
As a resident, I’m passionate about supporting our local initiatives and helping our younger generations understand the importance of our cultural identity.
