Greetings! My name is Lloyd Atkinson, and I proudly call Siriki Upper Pom River in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. As a jetman, I have the privilege of working closely with the lush landscapes that our beautiful country is known for. From the breathtaking views of the Essequibo River to the vibrant flora and fauna of the rainforest, I strive to share the unique beauty of Guyana with everyone I meet. I believe that there’s nothing quite like the taste of a fresh fish curry or the sweetness of a ripe mango plucked right from the tree—these are the flavors that truly define our culture.
Guyana, officially the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, is often the subject of lively discussion regarding its Caribbean identity. While some may debate our geographical placement, I firmly believe that our rich culture, influenced by our diverse heritage, firmly roots us in the Anglophone Caribbean. Whether it's the rhythms of our music or the warmth of our people, we have a legacy that resonates far beyond our borders.
