Welcome to my corner of Guyana! My name is Lorlene Miguel, and I am proud to call the lush landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a farmer, I cultivate not only the rich soil that nourishes our community but also the vibrant culture that defines us. From harvesting fresh cassava and plantains to sharing delicious meals featuring our beloved pepperpot, I cherish the way food brings families and friends together, just like the warm gatherings under the mango tree in my backyard.
Living on the David James Access Road, I am surrounded by the natural beauty of our rivers and forests, which inspire my daily life and work. I often reflect on the tales of Lower Pomeroon River and the traditions passed down through generations. These stories connect me to my ancestors, and I believe it's essential to share these experiences with the diaspora community, whether through personal stories or local vlogs.
