Hello! My name is Luanda Stephens, and I proudly call Wakenaam 06 New Belle Plaine home. Nestled in the lush Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my life is deeply interwoven with the rich cultural heritage of Guyana. From the sweet aroma of pepperpot wafting through my kitchen to the vibrant sounds of soca and chutney music that fill our celebrations, my upbringing is a testament to the warmth and spirit of our people. Having spent time in the diaspora, I have come to appreciate the bond we share with fellow Guyanese around the world, especially those in New York who often reminisce about home.
