Welcome! I’m Lyndon Marks, a proud resident of the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically at 38 Critchlow Street in Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this vibrant land, where the mighty rivers flow and the lush greenery tells stories of our rich heritage. Growing up in Guyana has been an adventure filled with the flavors of our beloved pepperpot, the aroma of fresh cassava bread, and the warmth of our diverse communities. Nothing brings me more joy than sharing a hearty meal with family and friends, reminiscing about the joys of our culture.
I often find myself reflecting on the breathtaking sights of Guyana, such as the majestic Kaieteur Falls, celebrated as the longest straight drop waterfall in the world. It's a reminder of the natural beauty that surrounds us and the adventures yet to be had. As a member of the diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with one another, often discussing the little things that define us, like the pronunciation of our beloved Essequibo River (it’s essekwibo, after all!).
