Hello! My name is Madevi Lall, and I am proud to call Anna Regina, in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, my home. As a housewife, I dedicate my days to nurturing my family and keeping our traditions alive. There's nothing quite like the joy of cooking up a storm in the kitchen, whether it's whipping up the perfect cook-up rice infused with fresh herbs from our garden or making my grandma’s cherished pork curry, a recipe that's been passed down through generations.
Living in this vibrant community, I am surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich culture that define our beloved Guyana. From the serene banks of the Pomeroon River to the lively spirit of our local gatherings, there's always a story to share or a memory to create. I cherish moments spent with family and friends, often reminiscing about our homeland's unique flavors and landmarks, like the famed River Massarie Settlement—always a point of pride for us Guyanese.
Though I am rooted here, I have a deep connection to the Guyanese diaspora around the world. It brings me joy to hear stories from fellow Guyanese, whether it’s about the hilarious moments of our culture—like calling Argentina “Beef Mexico”—or the love we all share for our beautiful country. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
