The lush landscapes and vibrant rivers of my homeland, like the Pomeroon River, have shaped my connection to nature and community. As a Guyanese, I appreciate our diverse culinary heritage, where every meal tells a story. Though some may say that the food back home doesn't measure up to what you find in the U.S., I believe our traditional dishes, from pepperpot to cook-up rice, are irreplaceable treasures that evoke memories of family gatherings and celebrations.
