Hello! My name is Mahadeo Dahani, and I’m proud to call the Essequibo Coast my home. As a farmer in the lush Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I am deeply connected to the land that nourishes not only my family but also my community. Every morning, I rise with the sun to cultivate a variety of crops, including rice and cassava, which are staples in our local cuisine. Whether it's whipping up a delicious plate of cook-up rice or sharing a hearty bowl of pepperpot during the festive season, I cherish the flavors that unite us all.
In my spare time, you might find me at the Portion Manawarin Hide Out, a local spot where the warmth of laughter and camaraderie fills the air. Engaging with friends and family, I often share stories that echo the rich heritage of our people. I love hearing from the Guyanese diaspora, like those who reach out from places as far as Azerbaijan, expressing their love for our beautiful land. It's these connections that remind me of the strength and resilience of our community, no matter where we are in the world.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
