My roots run deep in this beautiful land that was once known as British Guiana, a place where the lush landscapes and rich culture have shaped my life. Growing up, I was surrounded by the sounds of the Pomeroon River and the warmth of my neighbors, who embody the spirit of Guyana. From the hearty dishes of pepperpot to the sweet delights of guava cheese, our culinary heritage is something I cherish and take pride in sharing.
As a mason, I find joy in constructing not just buildings but also connections within our community. I often draw inspiration from the iconic landmarks around me, like the historic St. George's Cathedral and the serene beaches of the Essequibo Islands. Each project I undertake is a reflection of our culture and history, from traditional designs to modern aesthetics that respect our roots. Though I work here, I maintain a strong connection to the Guyanese diaspora, understanding the pride we all share for our homeland, whether in Mississauga or beyond. Together, we celebrate our heritage and the resilience of our people, whether reminiscing about the peaceful villages along the coast or enjoying a good old-fashioned cricket match.
