Hello! My name is Mahindra Ramnarine, and I proudly call the beautiful region of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a carpenter, I have a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into building and creating, whether it’s a sturdy wooden structure or a simple piece of furniture that brings warmth to a home. Growing up in Guyana, I was immersed in our rich cultural heritage. From the tantalizing aroma of pepperpot simmering on Christmas morning to the sound of chutney music during festivals, these experiences shaped who I am. I take pride in our unique blend of cultures, where Indo-Guyanese, Afro-Guyanese, and Indigenous influences come together in a flavorful melting pot that extends to our culinary delights and lively traditions. Many of my friends and family have ventured abroad, but we still share a close connection through stories and memories that keep our roots alive, no matter where we are.
As I continue my journey as a carpenter, I remain committed to enhancing the beauty of our landscapes, from the serene banks of the Pomeroon River to the hustle and bustle of Georgetown.
