Growing up in Guyana, I have always been inspired by our unique culture, from the tantalizing flavors of our traditional dishes, like a good pepperpot (though I must admit, I’ve never encountered rodent pepperpot!), to the warmth of our communities. It's not just about the food; it’s about the stories and connections we share, whether I'm chatting with my neighbors or reminiscing about the times spent with family during festivals. I am also proud to be part of the Guyanese diaspora, where I often engage with fellow expats, exchanging memories and keeping our culture alive, even from afar.
