Hello! I’m Maniram Bisasar, a proud resident of Coast Public Road Evergreen in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. With a deep connection to my roots, I cherish the vibrant culture that defines our beautiful nation. Many may not realize that Guyana is often left out of the Caribbean conversation, but we are here, alive and friendly, embracing both our South American heritage and Caribbean influence. Our rich history and diverse communities make us who we are, and I'm eager to share that with the world.
Growing up in Guyana, I have fond memories of savoring local delicacies like pepperpot and cook-up rice, and enjoying the lush landscapes along the Essequibo River. The warmth of my community extends beyond our borders, as Guyanese diaspora around the world value our connection to home. Though some may view our lifestyle through a critical lens, I believe there is a unique beauty in our resilience and pride that shines through in everything we do—from our traditional celebrations to the way we support each other in tough times.
As we face challenges, including those from neighboring countries, my hope is that we continue to rise together, showcasing the spirit of Guyana. Lots of love flows from our shores to places as far as India, reminding us that despite geographical distances, the heart of our culture beats strong.
