Hello! I’m Marcia Ward, a proud Guyanese currently working as a Sweeper Cleaner in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana, I have always cherished the freshness of our local produce and the rich flavors of our traditional dishes. From the sweet taste of ripe mangoes to the hearty pepperpot enjoyed during Christmas, these experiences have shaped my identity and instilled a deep love for my homeland.
My roots are firmly planted in the diverse culture of Guyana, where the sounds of the Arasaro River and the echoes of the Yaramai Creek tell stories of resilience and unity. I take pride in my heritage, and like many in the diaspora, I enjoy sharing our unique creole with friends and family abroad.
