Hello! I’m Marianna Samdass, a proud resident of the beautiful Essequibo Coast, right along the D Public Road in Paradise, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up here, I’ve been fortunate to experience the vibrant culture that Guyana has to offer—from the mouthwatering taste of pepperpot and roti during festive occasions to the serene sunsets over the Essequibo River. You might even catch me trying to pronounce “Essequibo” like a true local—Esseyqwaybo, right? 😂
As a member of the diaspora community, I cherish the connections formed with fellow Guyanese, both at home and abroad. It’s always a joy to meet people who share my love for our unique landmarks, like the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon and the rich history of our rivers, such as the Lower Pomeroon River and Katowro Settlement.
