Greetings! My name is Mark Assing, a proud labourer hailing from Theresa Village in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up in this vibrant community, I’ve been surrounded by the rich traditions of our people, from the rhythmic beats of our folk music to the mouthwatering aromas of our local dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice. I cherish the moments spent with family and friends, sharing stories and laughter over a plate of delicious Guyanese food, which never fails to remind me of home.
As someone deeply connected to my roots, I find joy in engaging with the Guyanese diaspora, whether it’s through social media or community gatherings.
