Hello! My name is Mark Bholo, a proud Guyanese and registered clerk residing in the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam at 60 Old Road Bush Lot. Growing up in Guyana, I have always been surrounded by the rich diversity of our culture, from the tantalizing flavors of pepperpot and cook-up rice to the rhythmic beats of our folk music. I find joy in sharing my heritage and the stories of our beautiful land with others, particularly those in the diaspora who hold a special connection to our roots.
Guyana, with its lush rainforests and mighty rivers, is a place where traditions flourish. I often reminisce about the festive gatherings during Mashramani and the warmth of our people, who embody a spirit of resilience and community. The challenges we face, such as migration and socio-economic issues, often lead us to reflect on the importance of unity and support for one another, both at home and within the diaspora.
