Hello! My name is Marlon Scott, and I’m proudly rooted in the rich and vibrant culture of Guyana, specifically from the beautiful Essequibo Coast in Onderneeming, Pomeroon-Supenaam. I often reminisce about gatherings with family and friends where laughter fills the air, and music brings us together, reminding me of the warmth that defines our community.
Though I may reside in a country often overlooked by tourists, I believe in the potential of Guyana. From the vibrant markets of Georgetown to the untouched beauty of our natural wonders, I hope to see my homeland flourish in tourism and development. Just like the diaspora comments suggest, we have our challenges, but it’s the resilience and camaraderie of my fellow Guyanese that keep us moving forward. Whether it’s through storytelling or sharing a meal, I strive to connect with others and celebrate what makes Guyana truly special.
