Hello! I’m Marty Fingall, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo in the serene Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Beautiful Guyana. Nestled in this lush area, we're surrounded by the rich beauty of our rivers and forests, and I find inspiration in the vibrant culture and tradition of my homeland. Guyana is a true gem, and whether it’s the sweet aroma of pepperpot wafting through family gatherings or the laughter shared at a Saturday night lime, I cherish every aspect of our local life.
Having grown up near the majestic Essequibo River, my heart beats for its tranquility and the stories that flow alongside it. I often reminisce about the days spent exploring the lush landscapes and the warmth of our community. As a resident of the new housing development, I am excited about the future and the sense of togetherness among my neighbors, reminiscent of the communal spirit that runs deep within our culture.
For me, being Guyanese means celebrating our roots while connecting with our diaspora.
