Nestled in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I cherish the warmth of our local community and the rich cultural heritage of Guyana. From the aroma of cook-up rice and pepperpot wafting through the air during festive occasions to the lively sounds of soka and chutney music that fill our streets, I feel deeply connected to my roots. It's not uncommon to see families gathering at the beautiful Essequibo River, sharing stories and laughter, reminding me of the simple joys that unite us all.
As a resident of this beautiful country, I have witnessed the transformative changes brought on by our oil discoveries, and I am excited to see Guyana taking its place on the global stage.
