Welcome to my little corner of the world! My name is Maureen Codrington, and I proudly call Essequibo home, specifically the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a housewife, I cherish the simple joys of daily life, whether it's preparing a hearty plate of cook-up rice or sharing stories with neighbors on our beloved Calabash Creek. My heart holds a love for our rich culture, from the lively sounds of our music to the sweet flavors of our traditional dishes.
Living in such a diverse country, I have come to appreciate the unique blend of influences that make Guyana so special. I often reminisce about our lush landscapes, like the Pomeroon River, and the sense of community that transcends borders. Even though some may say, "Nobody visits this country," those of us who call it home know that our warm hospitality and rich heritage are what truly shine.
