Hello! I’m Maxine Chung, a proud housewife residing in the serene Bank Essequibo along 152 Stelling Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. My heart beats for the vibrant culture of our homeland, where the lush landscapes of the Essequibo River meet the warmth of our community. Growing up surrounded by the sounds of laughter and the aroma of our beloved dishes, like chicken curry and dhall, has shaped my love for cooking and sharing our rich culinary heritage. Christmas wouldn’t be the same without the traditional pepperpot simmering on the stove, a dish that brings family together to celebrate our roots.
As an active member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with our family and friends abroad.
