Welcome! My name is Maylene Collier, and I proudly call the beautiful Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my community is rich with the diverse flavors and vibrant culture that defines Guyana. From enjoying a plate of pepperpot during the holidays to soaking in the stunning vistas of the Essequibo River, every moment here reminds me of the warmth and resilience of our people.
Though geographically Guyana may not be labeled as part of the Caribbean, our cultural roots and historical ties weave us into the fabric of this vibrant region. I cherish the connections I share with fellow Guyanese, whether through spirited conversations about our unique identities or reminiscing about home-cooked meals and traditional festivities. As a member of the diaspora, I am ever aware of the strength and pride we carry as we navigate the complexities of our global interactions.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
