Hello! My name is Maynawattie Boodram, and I’m proud to call Demerara my home. Growing up in the vibrant community along the Pomeroon River, I’ve embraced the rich culture and traditions of Guyana. From the sweet aroma of pepperpot bubbling on Christmas morning to the sound of the tassa drums during Mashramani, these experiences have shaped who I am today. My connection to my roots runs deep, and I carry the warmth of the Guyanese spirit wherever I go.
As a labourer, I understand the importance of hard work and community. In my free time, I enjoy sharing stories about our beautiful landmarks, like the majestic Kaieteur Falls and the serene beauty of the Essequibo River. I find joy in reminiscing with fellow Guyanese abroad, whether it's through a hearty laugh at our unique dialect or celebrating our culinary delights like roti and curry.
